  Bernice Sierra Good's Birth Certificate issued in Grand Rapids Michigan October 26, 1925 states she is the daughter of Eli W. Good and Elizabeth Good and that her date of birth was October 12, 1895.Other sources have given her birthdate as Sept 26, 1893 and Sept 29, 1895 and Sept 26, 1895. Obituary: Bernice Sierra Good was the fourth child born in 1895 to Eli and Elizabeth Dettweiler Good in Caledonia, Michigan. Her father, Eli received a common school education and taught school from 1882 to 1897 in Michigan. Around 1910 the family relocated to Alberta where they homesteaded. Bernice took three years of training at the Holy Cross Hospital at Calgary, Alberta graduating in March 1923. She remained in Alberta until 1925 or 1926 when she relocated back to Michigan with her parents. Her older brother John Victor Good was the only family member that stayed in Alberta. Bernice continued her nursing career in Michigan until her death at the age of 58. Miss Good leaves one sister Mrs. Leonard (Lulu Esma) Mniece of Grand Rapids; a brother R. Allen Good assistant professor of history at Michigan College of Mining and Tecnology in Houghton; and a sister-in-law Mrs. Margaret Good of Red Deer, Alberta.
